![]() "Let's hope." She's glad someone is thinking the same as her. Maybe they'll be willing to follow anyone after that." Gabriel says. Maybe someone will fill the power gap that'll be left behind when the Empress is no longer in rule. "What will become of Samarkand's people? That is if any of them are still alive." Vyra finds herself wondering out loud. They probably wouldn't harm the Hero King but they won't back down either." Vyra simply nods her head in sad agreement. They'll do what Pema says because she's on the throne. That said you do make a good point with the split-off trailing us. "Going by what Cynthia said Vyra I think the army and people of Albion would much rather have Mathew on the throne. ![]() What if they try something after we save him? Would they like the idea of him taking over? Probably not." Vyra rambles. Maybe she'll step down? We still have an army after us. Do you think Mathew would throw us out? I don't have the foggiest idea of what my mother would do though. I was thinking along those lines not too long ago. What would you and your mother do?" He asks. Forgive me if this sounds strange." Gabriel turns his head towards her again his posture and face serious but with nervous undertones. I didn't know when it was best to discuss it. "Vyra, there's something that's been on my mind. We'll find out soon." Gabriel faces her briefly before looking out to the open sea. He'll probably be the type to mistrust but never outright harm. From what I know of Garth he seems the kind to be more annoyed with someone than angry or resentful. Do you know if he'll be hostile towards Reaver? Or vice versa?" Vyra watches the Seer for an answer. However, I learned through word of mouth that Garth lived. "Have you ever read the book Reaver on Reaver? In it, Reaver mentioned how he shot Garth. "The will user you're speaking of is Garth, isn't it? That'll be another load of worms." Vyra sighs through her nose. "Say, didn't you mention the Hero of Will while we were still in Albion?" The Princess asks as Gabriel steps beside her. "Kind of hard to when you're being kicked by your sleeping partner." Vyra chuckles. "Can't sleep?" Gabriel's voice can be heard close behind her. He's been a prisoner of that country for years! What will it be like when she meets her grandfather King Mathew? How will she explain to him that his son Harold is dead and so is Laylah? Will he want to rule Albion again or will he step aside? Or what about the power gap in Samarkand? Who will fill it? Mathew certainly wouldn't want to. Her very long white hair catches the moonlight and makes her look otherworldly. Vyra sighs and leans against the railing of the ship. He had to be institutionalized briefly due to a failed suicide attempt. On the other side, it's full of unhealthy things. ![]() On one side it's good he's finally returning to his true self. He still speaks at events and holds parties but not as much as he did. She has seen him go from a cocky and loud-spoken man to a quiet and reclusive man. She knows he's thought that way long before she was born however it's only gotten worse as she's grown. Vyra doesn't have enough fingers to count how many times her love has attempted suicide or has contemplated it. They all think he's a suicide waiting to happen. Hell, half of Albion is beginning to worry for him. She didn't like being kicked so she opted to leave the room they share. She had been woken up by one of Vincent's nightmares. The breeze blows her hair and white confessor dress softly. Princess Vyra stares across the sea on the deck of the ship. The air gets progressively more humid and hot as they draw ever closer to Samarkand.Īlmost everyone is asleep except for one. Late nightfall blankets the world as the longships and Cynthia's ship sail peacefully in the night.
